How long will this last?

We went to a children's parade the other day, and the WHOLE time Isaac and Nicole were holding hands and talking with each other etc. It was so sweet. I spent more time watching the kids than I did the parade. Pointing, laughing, dancing to the music of the bands and in time with the dancers, running after the two pieces of candy that were thrown, Nicole giving her piece to Isaac. I know there is often rivalry between siblings when they are growing up, but I hope this sweet friendship lasts.

Our Friends the Bugs

We found these super fun bug houses for the kids. They are always finding bugs and needing a home for them. Rolly Pollies, Grasshoppers, gnats, spiders and ladybugs have all tried out our Lady bug playground. The Ladybugs seemed to like it the most and really do climb around on that little loopy thing, and up under the plastic mushroom! The kids have little reservation about picking up bugs. The other day I had to tell Isaac to put the spider in his hand down, and explain why spiders probably aren't the best bug (Yes I know it's an arachnid, but a bug to him) to carry around. We're still working on that. Thankfully, no bites yet. Did you know a few years back, the government of Ohio decided to import 88,000 Asian Lady beetles to come and eat the aphids that were destroying the foliage of hard wood trees. We're thankful for Ladybugs!
