Christmas eve

Christmas eve morning we decided to head to the beach.  One we'd been to quite a few times before so this post might be a repeat from 6-7 years ago just with more kids.

Always fun to see the Monarchs -- those large clumps in the trees

How you keep track of 6 kids at the beach--bury a few (and their Barbie) in the sand
 Isaac flying a kite
 Amber discovering the sand
Can I get this to my mouth before Mom smacks it away?

Nicole helping Heidi to build a sand castle

The boys soaked themselves in the freezing water

 Blue Whale bones
 All of us
Curt calls these bum shots and thinks I'm funny for taking them

 Gray whale bones
Our favorite ice cream shop on the pier

watching sea lions
Found this note Ryan wrote to his twin friends that have been coming to church with us
Ryan also made sure Santa knew whose stocking belonged to whom

 New pajammies

and bring on the sugar plums

December

Amber makes funny duck lips when spitting and blowing raspberries

Amber holding on to the chair for dear life.  This was one of the first times she pulled herself up and was stuck there for some time.

As she got better she got a little more creative . . .
and began pulling herself up to everything!
This was a horrible day, but at least Isaac is still smiling. Even if I wasn't mad at the school for what happened this day I would be mad that they didn't even sing "holiday" songs.  This was an international celebration . . . in December.  At least at previous schools they still sang "Rudolph" or "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth" and such even if they didn't sing "real" Christmas songs. ok--done being negative
lots of time in the tub just playing

And Santa at our ward party
Heidi truly believed this was Santa . . . and was very confused when Ryan said he knew it was our bishop.

At least Brett sat on his lap . . . even if he wouldn't look at him
