California and more!

Curt and I went to California for a quick weekend trip and got to see some of our good friends from our Stanford ward.  (Luv you Cassie!)

 Saw lots of this--so picturesque there--why doesn't jasmine grow in the desert?

 visited with great Aunt Marilyn--she made us some awesome burritos

 She offered to keep Amber maybe 10 times-- :-)

 How the trip was even possible --Thanks Grandma Salisbury!  She held down the fort (remarkably well I might add) and the kids had a blast at home.

Grandma Salisbury sent these fun fazoodles a while back, I stuck them in my closet waiting for a time to use them (it's a little busy during the school year) and totally forgot about them.  Perfect summer boredom buster--the kids loved making them. 

All Brett

   More often than not, Brett is in some funny sleeping position in his crib.  Maybe he's getting too big for it?

 Still baby/kitty sitting -- there are about 10 little doll blankets wrapped around the little cat, and then his silky blanket around all of those.

 When I went into check on him he had both arms high above his head, when I came back with the camera he wasn't quite as stretched out.

Kevin and I were both sitting on the couch, Heidi was lingering near by with a book, so I offered to put down what I was working on (the flowers for the blessing dress) to read her a book, she didn't say anything so I set my stuff down and tried to pick her up and set her on my lap, but she resisted.  She wasn't saying anything, so then I asked her if she wanted Uncle Kevin to read it to her and she shyly smiled and nodded.  How could he say no?
