Curt's Insane Race and camping

Crazy Curt signed up for a 10k that went straight up a mountain and straight down. It was also in Taos, or even a little further, so we drove 3-4 hours to get there. Rather than leave in the middle of the night we drove up the night before and camped nearby. Love the name of the camp ground.

This is a picture of the mountain they climbed/ran it looked 10 times steeper in real life. Afterward we also went up the ski lift and that MT was STEEEEEEEEEEP. I heard lots of the runners talking after saying that is the hardest trail run they've ever done.

We had to leave our tent and sleeping stuff at our campground in order to get to the race. Thankfully it was still there when we got back to pack up.

First Day of Kindergarten--Isaac

Much to Isaac's disappointment he started school two days later than Nicole. He didn't want Curt to take him--he wanted to ride the bus but we talked him into letting us. Curt got to take him since I had an early morning Dr. appointment for Heidi--it was weird not seeing him into his classroom on the first day, but probably fun for Curt.

Heidi's First Birthday

Four Year Old Ryan

Coming back from UT with the kids, we ended up driving home on Ryan's birthday. Since we only had to drive from Flagstaff that day we got into town around 4, I dropped the kids off at the movie theater with Curt to see "Toy Story 3" then rushed home, put Heidi down for a nap and tried to pull together a cake and a few decorations for Ryan's family birthday party. Curt had pre-wrapped the presents. I think we just barely managed to pull it off. I was leaving again on Thursday (His birthday was on a Tuesday) for Traci's baby's blessing, so it was now or never. He looks happy right? Didn't I just have him? I wish time weren't going by so fast. He's such a wonderful part of our family. (Especially now that he's potty trained!!--THAT was an epic story!j/k)
