 There were actually four families moving from our ward (ourselves included) and they had a farewell party at the park for us.  Nicole and some of her close friends.

Here are all of my kids I have LOTS.  I feel like I left four children in Albuquerque we've been a part of each others lives for so long!  Albuquerque, California, then Albuquerque together.

 Here is another kid I left behind . . . actually she moved too.

 Isaac got his wolf at the last pack meeting before we moved.  The last thing he had to do was build something useful with wood.  Yeah, that wasn't going to happen from me or Curt with all we had going on.  Thankfully a boy in the ward was doing an eagle scout project of building lots of bird houses for something and I sent Isaac and Curt over there so we could pass that off!

 Amber is 3 months!!! Sorry, they were all so cute I couldn't decide.  Easier just to post all of them.
She's gotten pretty strong on her tummy, "talks" a lot and pretty loudly now, smiling all the time, starting to find her feet and pulls her toys off her bouncy chair a lot and they often hit her in the face--bad design because they are kind of hard toys.

Compliments to Sabrina for the super cute outfit and homemade bow--she made three that all matched the outfit. 

Ryan turns 7

Ryan's birthday is always smack dab in the middle of some kind of craziness.  Usually it's our summer trips, but this year it was moving.  We were still able to have a decent family party for him . . . I hope.  He requested the smores cake that Nicole had for her birthday.  Wasn't quite as pretty this time around, but just as super delicious as the first time.  Ryan's a really happy kid.  Can't believe he is 7.  He is a great big and little brother, and I love watching him play with his younger siblings.  He is especially smitten with Amber, and is teaching Brett all he knows.  Heidi . . . he is a little more on and off with, but when it's on, he sure is sweet!

 Tut, Tut it looks like rain.  Umbrellas have been out all summer as we had a "normal" Albuquerque summer this year with lots and lots of afternoon monsoon rains and thunder and lightning storms.  The last few years here we were in a drought.  Funny a desert can be in a drought.  Our first three years were like this with all the afternoon rains. 

Let the Craziness begin . . .

           At the fourth of July we made the difficult decision to move from New Mexico back to California.  The few people who look at this blog already know all the details so I will spare them.  Plus it will make me cry.  We spent the month we had left working non-stop on the house--CURT and me keeping the kids out of his way and trying to do things with friends.
             Anyway . . . Every summer we get these two awesome cousin/friends together and Brynne got to stay with us for a little while.  It was just going to be 4 days, but we were able to extend it to about 10 which everyone was super excited about, AND neither us nor my brother had to do any driving!!  I have a friend in our Albuquerque ward who had a sister in my brothers ward and they took Brynne both ways for us since they were already going!  I did a little babysitting in return.

 Since we were moving we spent as much time as we could with friends--Ryan with Lars-one of his two bosom buddies, and below with his other Scottie at the skate park on their scooters.

 Making a million really cool Harry Potter wands --should have taken an after shot of all their completed ones they turned out really cool.

 Nicole and Brynne got to take a week long, hour a day synchronized swimming class while Brynne was here with a performance at the end of the week.

Here are the four of us that are moving.  Laura and Jaime (on the left) to DC for a Sandia program and will be back to ALBQ in 2 years. Summer, the friend next to me moved to Idaho to be close to both her and her husbands families AND get her family of 6 out of a little apartment and into a home!
