Nine Year old Isaac

Isaac had a birthday (Sep. 10)  Ryan made him a dragon king crown, and Nicole made him an origami dragon--he's kind of into dragons right now.  Wishing we could find a way to freeze time. Isaac is so helpful and obedient and fun to have around, such a wonderful part of our family.

5 Month Old Amber (end of September)

Amber is such a happy girl.  She rolls with the flow pretty well too.  When you are number six I guess you have to.  She is very much in the suck-on-my-toe-phase.  All the kids can get her to laugh and they love it.  Pretty sure there would be world peace if everyone had babies' laughter to listen to daily.

This is an audio book Nicole brought home from school.  Brett was listening and said "this is for my class."

Oh Do you know the muffin man?   He lives at our house  . . . here he is.  Brett often pulls out the muffin tins and asks to make muffins.

I was so grateful for this Saturday that rained out our kids' soccer games.  I think someone knew we needed a break.

Curt missed the Father/son campout in our ALBQ ward back in May, so he promised the boys he'd take them this summer.  That was before we knew we were moving, so Curt made good on his promise and took the boys camping here in CA. 

Brett the Builder (sing with me now)

Have you ever seen "Bob the Builder?"  It should have been titled "Brett the Builder"  He is very much in a construction vehicle/big truck stage.  For pretty much all of September we would drop Nicole off at school in the morning then drive to this construction site a couple of blocks away and spend the next 20-30 minutes watching the big trucks.  I'm pretty sure all the construction crew recognized our van.  We would park wherever they were working and watch for as long as Amber would let us.

This was funny because Brett had been standing there watching all the trucks for a while and this big scraper was coming his way and was only feet away when it turned.  As it got closer he started getting a little nervous--as he should--and started climbing down the fence.  It turned shortly thereafter and he climbed right back up.

If your ever hanging out with Brett make sure you know the names of your construction vehicles.  He has been known to correct older siblings if they incorrectly name one of the "big trucks".
