Curt's Insane Race and camping

Crazy Curt signed up for a 10k that went straight up a mountain and straight down. It was also in Taos, or even a little further, so we drove 3-4 hours to get there. Rather than leave in the middle of the night we drove up the night before and camped nearby. Love the name of the camp ground.

Tried tons of different setting and could not get a good picture of the kids and their smores!

This is a picture of the mountain they climbed/ran it looked 10 times steeper in real life. Afterward we also went up the ski lift and that MT was STEEEEEEEEEEP. I heard lots of the runners talking after saying that is the hardest trail run they've ever done.

The kids played in the sand volleyball court I corralled Heidi into a Horseshoe pit.
Here's Curt almost to the finish line. They

We had to leave our tent and sleeping stuff at our campground in order to get to the race. Thankfully it was still there when we got back to pack up.

If you drive 4 hours, ya gotta run the race, eh? That mountain is awesome! Good job, Curt. Thanks for the virtual camping trip;the fires, smores, standing in the gravel in pink jammies and dad's hat, my horse blanket:), the ubequitious sticks, throwing rocks in the water (wow), and happy kids! Made my day, and great memories for you!

Wow, way to go Curt! A Stanford commercial star and marathon runner. Looks like you had a great camping trip too!
