March
On a day during spring break a friend and I took our kiddos on a hike to see some petroglyphs. The funny thing was that both of us were pregnant and all of our kids were into trying to climb the mountain as high as they could go with tons of huge boulders and super sharp rocks everywhere. It was a little nerve racking as we were a little less agile than normal and had little ones (Heidi's age) with us who weren't climbing like the others. So here I am pregnant carrying Heidi up these rocky steep hills to get close enough to let the kids know I was serious that it was time to come down and stop going higher. So other than a few near-heart-attack experiences, it was fun nonetheless.

The majority of our hike was spent walking ten feet on the trail then stopping to dig in the super soft dirt.
Trying to fit as many fun outings in as possible before baby comes . . . here are a few pics from the zoo.

This is the day Heidi learned to say peacock. They are walking around all over the zoo and now she loves them . . . even likes to imitate their sound. I guess those feather displays really do work some kind of magic on the females.

The elusive cheetah. After living here for quite a few years this is the first time we saw him/her? up and walking around--not just the tail behind the tree.
